Altenew Beautiful Day Raised Thanks Card

Altenew Beautiful Day Raised Thanks Card

Snowing today in Minnesota…so I like to stay in and craft instead of trying to drive on slippery roads LOL.  Today I decided to add to my Thank You card stash, it’s always a good idea to have plenty on hand!

Altenew Beautiful Day Raised Thanks Card Tutorial

I started with a piece of white cardstock 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.  I used my  Tim Holtz Stamping Platform to make the design but you can use an acrylic block.  I started off by stamping the flower from Altenew Beautiful Day onto the page.

Next I stamped this onto a scrap piece and cut around it to get my masking piece.  I layed that over the stamped flower and layed the stem piece on top for placement, then I closed the door of my stamp platform to pick up the stamp, inked it and stamped it.

Next I placed the flower onto the masking piece and stamped it as well.

I stamped the red and yellow one in a little different configuration and stamped in a second stem.

I colored the Pink and yellow with the following copic markers:
Y02, Y08, YR15, RV11, RV13, RV66, G03, G14 & YG17
The best price I have found for Copic markers is at Blick Art Material Company. Altenew Beautiful Day Raised Thanks Card
Next I layed my Altenew Thanks die onto the card and ran it through my bigshot.

Be careful not to lose the little pieces that go between the t and h and the h loop.

I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the top of the card piece and glued it around the side edges to the back.

I cut a piece of 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ white cardstock and scored it at  4-1/4″ and folded it to get my card blank.  I glued my colored piece to the front of my card blank.
Be sure to glue into the pieces around the word.

Now I had a white background under the die cut.

Next I ran Altenew Thanks die through my bigshot 3 times using yellow cardstock.

I glued one yellow cut out into the hole on the card where the colored piece came out.

Then glued in the little pieces for the t and h.

Then I glued the other two yellow die cuts on to make 3 layers.

Then I glued the colored die cut piece onto those.

I tied a ribbon knot and glued it to the front and my card is ready for a personal thank you inside.

For the yellow and red card I added stamped it a little differently and added a second stem, then made the card base tall to flip to the top.

The red and yellow card was colored with the following copic markers:
Y08, Y17, YR15, R29, R46, R59, G03, G14 & YG17 and outlined with C0.

For this one I made my card base using black cardstock,  11″ x 4-1/4″and scored it at  5-1/2″ and folded it.

Then I cut my colored piece  5-1/4″ x 4″.
I did the same process as above but used black cardstock to cut my thanks pieces.

And glued it onto my black card base centered so it created a little black framing around it.

I repeated the layering process and created another card!

I love how these turned out!
