First of all, start by cutting out the holder piece. You’ll need a cutting machine such as a Silhouette or Cricut. I have the Silhouette Cameo and love it! I would highly recommend it, the possibilities of what you can make are endless!
You’ll need a scoring board, I have the Martha Stewart Crafts Scoring Board and Envelope Tool and love it!
Score down the sides even with the 2 pieces that extend and the edge of the cut lines.
Score across at each cut line.
Your piece should look like this
Fold along the score lines to get them flexing. Put tape on the two small flaps closest to the back piece.
Fold the next flap pieces up and adhere to those.
Take the next set of flaps and tape the same way, fold in and adhere.
The last flap gets tape put on the inside then fold and adhere, tucking the little flap inside.
Next cut a piece of cardstock 8″ x 3-1/2″, score at 4″ and fold in half.
Put your tape or glue on each end and fold over the existing back of the box and adhere!
Your box is ready to decorate!
To make the box I used the BoBunny tis the season paperpack.
I used the stickers from the paperpack to decorate the box, the front of the lower box I wrapped the long narrow sticker around the front and sides and trimmed it before it turned around the back.
I adhered the December 25 sticker to the front and tied on a white bow.
I made a loop of ribbon and used my 1″ punch to punch out a circle of one of the stickers and adhered it to th front lower portion as shown.
I stuck on the Seasons Greetings sticker and filled the cup full of goodies!
