Ghirardelli Treat Holder free SVG file and Tutorial – 2 Crafty Little Sisters

Ghirardelli Treat Holder free SVGThis weekend here in Minnesota the weather was crappy, it was colder than normal and rained all day Saturday.  What a great day to stay home and play with paper!!

I felt like doing something summery to make it feel warmer outside LOL.  These little flamingos were just the ticket.  I purchased the stamp and die cutting set from scrapbook.com.

In this post are links to Scrapbook.com and Amazon.com for if you would like to purchase any of the items used to make this card.   2 Crafty Little Sisters are affiliates and receive a small commission from any sales…at no additional cost to you.  This helps fund the items we use to create our tutorials.  We would be honored and grateful if you purchase through us.  Thanks!

First of all, start by cutting out the holder piece.   You’ll need a cutting machine such as a Silhouette or Cricut.  I have the Silhouette Cameo and love it!  I would highly recommend it, the possibilities of what you can make are endless!

Download the free svg file ghirardelli box here.

You’ll need a scoring board, I have the Martha Stewart Crafts Scoring Board and Envelope Tool and love it!

Fold along the score lines, your box should look like this.
Now adhere the outer flap to the back forming your box.

Insert the back piece into the box and glue to the box.  Now you’re ready to decorate!!

I stamped the flamingo and colored it using watercolor pencil, then blended it with mineral oil.  To see the technique I used you can watch this video on how.

Next I used the die cut to cut the flamingos out using my Sizzix Big Shot.
Also in the die set I cut out the palm tree.

I punched a 1-1/2″ scallop edge piece from pink, and a 1-1/4″ circle from white.  Stamped with a fun sentiment, I used the Yum stamp from BoBunny Everyday Icon stamps.

Using nestabilities ovals I die cut black ovals, one slightly bigger than the flamingo and one larger one to fit the medallion, flamingo and palm tree.  Glue everything to the box as shown.  Wrap string around the box 3 times and tie a bow.  Fill with some paper shreds and Ghirardelli chocolates and its ready to gift!
