Easy Peasy watercolor technique. I am having so much fun with the Hero Arts July Stamp Kit and my Zig real brush markers.
The card looks like it took a long time to make but it was super easy and quick.
I am not an artist by any means, LOL. But I was really impressed with how easy it was to use the Zig Markers and water to make this scene.
If you are like me and prefer a visual demonstration of how to do this, click HERE to check it out the Watercolor Technique video.

Hero Arts July Stamp Kit Card directions:
- Base card – cut cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score at 4 1/4 and fold.
1st layer: Using the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper cut a piece of cardstock 5 1/8 x 4/ 1/8.
For the next layer cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Watercolor paper using an oval die shape.
For the 3rd layer: Watercolor and cut smaller oval. I use Strathmore Bristol Watercolorpaper. I love the smooth finish to the Strathmore.
I used the following Zig Real Brush Markers:
- 47 – May Green
- 41 – Light Green
- 21 – Carmine
- 80 – Violet
- 22 – Carmine Red
- 31 – Cobalt Blue
- 65 – Mid Brown
- Stamp sentiment from Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings and cut into smaller single words. Add foam dimensionals and adhere to the front of the card.
Put it all together and you have a gorgeous watercolored card that was easy to do and looks like a million bucks. Enjoy!
Here are some close up shots of the card.
I also did a different watercolor card using the same technique. Click HERE to check it out.
