I just love Penny Black Stamps! This set was too cute to pass up! I created this card during my playtime today, I love using watercolor pencils to color in my stamps. You can find a video on the technique I use at the end of this post.

Penny Black Time to Celebrate Birthday Card Tutorial
I started with a white A7 card blank, 5″ x 7″
Next I cut a piece of designer paper, red polka dots 4-3/4″” x 6-3/4″ and adhered to the front of the card blank.
Then I took some white cardstock and stamped the designs onto it using my new Tim Holtz Stamping Platform which I’m finding awesome!
The designs were made from Penny Black Time to Celebrate and colored with watercolor pencils blended with mineral oil.
The technique for coloring the image can be seen in this video.
On white cardstock I stamped the Happy Happy Birthday and fussy cut around it.
Adhere the colored pieces to the front of the card, add a sentiment inside and it’s ready to go!
