Pink and Main Autumn Blessings Shaker Card

Pink and Main Autumn Blessings Shaker Card - 2 Crafty Little Sisters

Thanksgiving is almost upon us so I wanted to create a fun shaker card with my new Pink and Main Autumn Blessings stamp set.   I created this card during my craft time today, I love using watercolor pencils to color in my stamps.  You can find a video on the technique I use at the end of this post.

Pink and Main Autumn Blessings Stamp Shaker Card Tutorial

I started with a piece of  white card stock, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half.

Next I took a piece of white card stock and put it through my Sizzix Bigshot using the largest rectangle from my Lawn Fawn outside in Stitched Rectangle Die set, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and the another in the center to make the opening measuring 2″ x 3-1/2″.

I colored the outside edge of the frame with using Spiced Marmelade Distress Oxide ink.

I cut out a piece of  clear plastic to cover the inside hole of the frame and glued it on.  Next I layed down two layers of foam strips on the back.

Next I used my Antique Linen Distress Oxide in to shade the top center of the card where the Pilgrim will go.

Then I took some  white cardstock and stamped the designs onto it using my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform which I’m finding awesome!

The designs were made from Pink and Main Autumn Blessings and colored with watercolor pencils blended with mineral oil.

Here are the items we use for the colored pencil technique:
Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Soft Core, 72 Count
Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits Bottle, 4.2oz
Blending Tortillions (Dozen) Small

The technique for coloring the image can be seen in this video.

I cut around my design using my Silhouette Cameo and Pixscan mat.

I have also included a link below to the dies for the stamp set.

Adhere the colored piece to the front of the card.

Then I sprinkled sequins and glitter into the center of the card.

and covered with the frame piece.

Next I used my Lawn Fawn outside in Stitched Rectangle Die set, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ to cut another piece of white cardstock.

I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border to cut a wavy top for the hill.

I used Distress Oxide Lucky Clover to ink the top edge of the hill and Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade to ink the sides.  I adhered this to the bottom front of the card lining it up with the bottom of the frame.  Then I glued on the Pilgrim Mouse and the pumpkin.

For the sentiment I cut a piece of white cardstock using my rectangle stitch die approximately 2-1/2″ x 1″ and stamped Happy Thanksgiving onto it.  Then I inked the edges with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide and adhered it to the front of the card.

Add a sentiment inside and it’s ready to go!
