Stacking Penguins Christmas Card – 2 Crafty Little Sisters

Stacking Penguins Christmas Card

I can’t believe how fast the Holidays are approaching.  Working full time as I do, I spend my weekends in my craft room at this time of year or I’d never find the time to get everything done…and I never get it all done LOL.  Today I decided to play with my little penguin stamp from Lawn Fawn Tobaggan Together and turn it into a stack of penguins!

Stacking Penguins Christmas Card Tutorial

I started with a piece of white cardstock 8-1/2″ x 11″, scored it at 5-1/2″ to make my card blank 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
Then I cut a piece of red cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ and adhered it to my card blank.

I ran my Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Oval die through my bigshot on white cardstock.
Then I used my Candied Apple Distress Oxide and dauber to ink the edges.

I adhered that to the front of the card.

Next I got out my Lawn Fawn tobaggan Together stamp and put the sitting penguin onto my acrylic stamping block.  I inked up the penguin and used a piece of scrap paper to cover his bottom half.  I stamped only the arms and head onto white cardstock, then I repeated this 4 times.  There will be a little gap in lines between each one.

I stamped the 5th one whole at the bottom.  Now I took my Micron pen and filled in the lines to connect the penguins.

I colored in the penguins with my copic markers.  I used light gray for the forhead and dark gray for the body, then orange for the feet.  I used my Uniball White Pen to add highlights.

I cut around my design using my Silhouette Cameo and Pixscan mat.  If you don’t have a silhouette you can fussy cut around the reindeer.  I made a second offset on the design and used that to cut red cardstock.  You can fussycut an outline to make the red background.  Adhere it to eht penguinds and then to the front of the card.

I took some  white cardstock and stamped the Merry Christmas  sentiment from the set onto it, then I cut them apart, and I used my Candied Apple Distress Oxide and dauber to ink the edges.

Next I ran some white cardstock through my bigshot using the snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Portrait.  Then I used my Candied Apple Distress Oxide and dabber to ink the edges.

Adhere those to the front of the card, stamp the inside with your favorite sentiment and it’s ready to give!
