Tim Holtz Christmas Classic Stamp Card Tutorial

It’s that time of year…time to make Christmas cards to send to family and friends!  I love classic Christmas designs and I fell in love with the new Tim Holtz Christmas Classic stamp set, so this year I used that to design my cards, so grab a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage and I’ll show you how I made this one.

Take a piece of brown Kraft cardstock, 5-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2-3/4″ & 5-1/2″.

I shaded the edges with my ColorBox Chalk Queue Ink Pad.

Cut 2 pieces of designer cardstock 3″ tall x 2″ wide.  Adhere one to the center of the cover outer edge and one to the outside back.

Cut a piece of red cardstock 4″ x 4″ for the background.

Cut a piece of burlap slightly smaller than 4 x 4 and fray the edges.

Adhere to the front center of the red cardstock.

Stamp the santa stamp onto Kraft Cardstock and cut to 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″.  Shade the edges with  ColorBox Chalk Queue Ink Pad.

Using my Tim Holtz distress tool I distressed the edges.

Adhere to the center of the card and burlap piece.

Fold the card flat and adhere to the center of the card, attaching only to the folded flap.

Cut a piece of red cardstock 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″.  Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ and stamp the Christmas sentiment onto the front.  Shade the edges with  ColorBox Chalk Queue Ink Pad, then distress the edges with the distressing tool.  Adhere to the center of the red piece.

Adhere to the inside back of the card 1/4″ from the inside fold centered between top and bottom.

Adhere some bling to the top and bottom corners, crystals or drops.
